Versions of Java:-     

      The  beta  version of java was released  in the year 1995. From then various versions  of java was released in the  subsequent  years like versions 1.0,1.1,1.2,1.3.....1.8.

       Java  1.5 is the  stable  version  which is called as  "tiger".. the latest version  of java is 1.8. released in the year  2014...

      So ,now Sun Micro Systems  is taken over by  "Oracle".corporation..so,it  is the product of  "oracle"..
